For me, when I have to research for a topic I struggle in finding scholarly websites. I also find it difficult to support my evidence or my topic by sources. Even harder to try and summarize the information in one’s own words but without plagiarizing anyone else work. Yes, indeed the Library Research course helped me by considering the broad opportunities of plagiarizing. It also helped me by providing examples that demonstrated the difference and variety of ways to plagiarize. I found it helpful by the tutorials we had and the lectures that where provided to us. I strongly believe that in the long run, the course would come in handy because I’ll have a foundation of how to begin a research paper or to support a topic. Thus, I believe we should have had more lectures than quizzes and class presentations. It was hard to learn from those specially when it came to understanding what the question where. Some things in the quizzes I don’t even remember going through. Though for my overall experience in Library Research course, I can say it was useful and educative due to the fact that in college we will have to be able to write research papers that will need citations. However, I would have liked to have more class time for lectures and more time to prepare for quizzes and the final. For a five day class, I acknowledge the course and hope that in the future I can build from what I learn this year.

Question #3
From the quote, "Since everything is on the Internet, I don't need books...right?" unknown author, I believe that this quote can not apply to everyone. I personally dislike been in a computer 24/7, especially if it has to do with reading. To begin, it is bad for your eye sights and after a while, it may be tarrying. Secondly, not everyone has Internet access. For example, Internet access may not be available in third world countries or even rural areas. From experience, when I went to Mexico, where my family lived, been able to use a computer was very difficult do to the fact that the Internet connection was very weak. That leads to another factor, Internet connection. When I read, I do not like to be disturbed but what if the connection fails and closes out your book. The advantage of having a hard copy book is that you can mark the text or even use sticky notes to mark where you left of or for taking notes. Today from advance technology, it has come to our advantage of been able to access internet as one travels. Though, how can one focus on a reading when there are other distracting features in a laptop or I-Pad. Yes, internet has advance to a fascinating tool that has come in handy to many, though, when it comes to reading books, there is nothing better than a hard copy. Guess something’s just won’t be able to be replaced by technology. Or maybe for some people, it is easy do to the accessibility but for some, will stick to hard copy books.

Question #2
From my point of view, I believe librarians provide help in libraries. They provide help in libraries by helping in book selection, recommendation and researches. They also sit in the front desk in order to be easy assessable for those who may need help. I think librarians should be more engage when it comes to helping someone choose a book. The books should fit the person interest because sometimes, the books that were recommended turn out to be the opposite of what was asked for. IN the future a library to me is picture by pure computers. Since now in days we have been provided with books online, soon all the hard copies of books or any source would be available online. There would be no waiting on lines to try to check out a book because I see everyone with a laptops or an I-Pad. Technology now in days, is advancing rapidly, and going through shelves and searching for the right book is hard and takes time. With computer access in libraries, by typing key words, lists of books should appear in which one can choose by a variety. Though, perhaps there will be hard copy books that those people that would like to take them home can take them, but I honestly see people laying back, reading from a screen. It will also be easy accessible, fast and less problems on return dates. With or without technology, librarians would always be essential to people because who else can know more about books or research tips.
